Ombre Hair
I am loving the ombre hair trend! Specially Lauren Conrad and Isabel Lucas' looks are to die for, with the ligh waves as well. Finally a trend where dark roots and light ends are acceptable.
I'm trying to grow my natural hair out at the moment (had it dyed blonde), which is a lightish brown so at least now when people comment on my hair I'll use the excuse of following the "ombre hair trend" :P.
What do you think of this look?

Memories
I love looking through my old photo albums or going through my things back home and finding old notes we used to pass around in class or finding old letters. Having a trip down memory lane.
Yet at the same time it kind of makes me a little depressed. Yeah sure it's time to make new memories and continue on; but there just seems to be something about the past that makes it so much better. I dunno it's a strange feeling.
I definitely miss being back home in Malaysia, being back in high school! Seeing the same people everyday - what back then I used to complain about. Uni life is so different. People always say "university will be the best time of your life". I don't find that at all! I'm nearly done with uni and it's safe to say that I definitely don't find these years to be the best of my life. High school definitely was. Maybe I'm doing something wrong I dunno lol.

Aria Awards
One of my best friends, Jeremy, works with a lighting company so does all the fancy lights for events and concerts etc. He always manages to get me freebies (specially during Sydney Fashion Week :)) and this time got me two VIP tickets for the Aria Awards - (Australian Record Industry Association). So I took Michael.

| such a poser haha |
We decided we'd show up later so we'd just be there for the main concert and some of the award giveaways. I saw Carmen Electra!!
It was pretty fun. We left halfway through the last act so that we wouldn't get stampeded when everyone tried to leave. Thanks for the tickets Jeremy <3

Bridal Shoot
As I mentioned on here last week I managed to score a bridal shoot :) Woke up at 6am yesterday and made my way over to the studio for a 9am start.
Hair and make-up took about two hours (there were three girls to get done) and I swear I have never worn so much foundation in my life lol. They seriously cake that stuff on to the max, not nice.
The studio was pretty cool; it was like this event design place so it had all these different little sections of a different scenery.
I was soo nervous at the beginning. I thought the photographer would give me some direction with the posing but all he told us was to "keep moving around. act natural. don't stop until i say" ermmm ok. There were about 12 dress changes or so, so after the first couple we all started getting the hang of it. Was good fun :)
Here are some of the pictures I took of the different dresses with my phone. I love the yellow dress! And another one of my favourites was the one you can see both pictures bottom right. It was short at the front, above the knees, and then the back was soooo long, I'd say maybe about 3,4 meters or so. Amazing!
There were two photographers, one taking the proper pics and the other taking 'different angle' ones. They said it will take a bit until I get to see the pictures but when I do I'll post some on here. He did send two though from the second photographer:
For one of the shots me and the girl you see above, Ivy, had to interact with each other and act "natural" (I swear that must have been the word of the day) and he asked us to talk to each other and "keep smiling". Was kinda awkward but we just started talking about Gossip Girl :p
Anyway, hope you lik the pics, will post some more when I get them xxx

The Social Network
Watched this movie last night and it was seriously awesome! One of my new favourite movies now. I love movies like this, the idea of creating something out of nothing; everything stemming from an idea. Because that's what it's all about, to get somewhere you need to start somewhere; and that starting point is your idea. It really makes you think. These ideas we randomly get throughout the day, they could potentially be worth billions of dollars. Miiiinddd Blowwwwinggg!! Definitely watch this movie if you can!
I did some research of the movie after - lame? what evaa :p - and it's all true what happens. Supposedly it was adapted from the book below:
