A Poem - Crabby Old Man

What do you see nurses? . . ... . . What do you see?
What are you thinking . . . . . When you're looking at me?
A crabby old man . .. . . . Not very wise,
Uncertain of habit ... . . . . With faraway eyes?

Who dribbles his food . . . .. . And makes no reply.
When you say in a loud voice . . . . . 'I do wish you'd try!'
Who seems not to notice .. .. . ... . The things that you do.
And forever is losing . . . . . A sock or shoe?

Who, resisting or not . . . . . Lets you do as you will,
With bathing and feeding . .. . .. . The long day to fill?
Is that what you're thinking? . ... . . . Is that what you see?
Then open your eyes, nurse . . . . . You're not looking at me.

I'll tell you who I am. . . . ... . As I sit here so still,
As I do at your bidding, . . . . . As I eat at your will.
I'm a small child of Ten . .. . . .. With a father and mother,
Brothers and sisters . . . .. ... Who love one another.

A young boy of Sixteen . . . .. With wings on his feet.
Dreaming that soon now . . . . . A lover he'll meet.
A groom soon at Twenty . . . . .. My heart gives a leap.
Remembering, the vows . . . . . That I promised to keep.

At Twenty-Five, now . . . .. . I have young of my own.
Who need me to guide . . . . . And a secure happy home.
A man of Thirty . . . . . My young now grown fast,
Bound to each other .. . . . . With ties that should last.

At Forty, my young sons . . ... . . Have grown and are gone,
But my woman's beside me . . . . . To see I don't mourn.
At Fifty, once more, babies play 'round my knee,
Again, we know children . .. . . . My loved one and me.

Dark days are upon me . . . . . My wife is now dead.
I look at the future . . . . . Shudder with dread.
For my young are all rearing . ... . . . Young of their own.
And I think of the years .. . . .. . And the love that I've known.

I'm now an old man . . . . .... And nature is cruel.
Tis jest to make old age . . . . . Look like a fool.
The body, it crumbles . . . . . Grace and vigor, depart.
There is now a stone . . . . Where I once had a heart.

But inside this old carcass . . . . . A young guy still dwells,
And now and again . . . . . My battered heart swells.
I remember the joys . . . . . I remember the pain.
And I'm loving and living . . . ... . Life over again.

I think of the years, all too few . . . . . Gone too fast.
And accept the stark fact . . . . That nothing can last.
So open your eyes, people . . . ... . Open and see.
Not a crabby old man . ... . . Look closer . .. . See ME!!

Feather Extensions

I guess Feather Extensions have been around for a couple months now, specially in America and Europe but I haven't really seen them around here in Australia on people yet; maybe they will come out in Spring time.

I really like this trend. What do you all think?
I was trying to look online for a site where I could buy some but they don't really sell just a few strands, more like a whole bulk load?

Going to do some more searching to see if I find any, or let me know if you know a site where you can get them off. I'm more keen of the more understated feather looks like these:

Fake MAC

Left - Real  ....... Right - Fake

Look at the picture above. Do you notice a difference? Yup, I was ebay faked. I should have known better than to get a face product off ebay but Australia is so crazy expensive that buying them online is just way cheaper. I've bought lipsticks off ebay before and they were all perfect so I decided to give one of the face products a try but wasn't so lucky this time.

Anyway, yes the one on the right is the faker. Difference between the two were:
- Packaging: writing on front, unsturdy, faker had a matte really soft casing, mirror inside wasn't placed properly
- Product: ew. Flaked soooo much with just one brush swipe, smelt horrible
- Colour: just look at the pictures. Faker is a NW25 and  the real deal on the left is a NW20.

Left - Real  ....... Right - Fake
I bought the colour NW25 online (yuuup that was NW25?!? Wayyy too dark and so orangey) Tried it anyway, one swipe of my brush over it and literally sooo much crumble product - you can see a tiny bit in the pic - just imagine that all over.
Went to MAC yesterday, as I'm back home so it's way cheaper than Australia, to buy the real deal and i got NW20 (notice the difference of the NW20 original and NW25 faker?) I even asked to look at the original NW25 and it was sooooooooo different. Crazy.

Lesson learned. Don't get your make-up foundations off ebay. Lipsticks I will continue as I was happy with my previous purchases and got some trusted sellers on that front but never again for the face! Be careful guys, lots of people trying to rip each other off out there.

Lipstick HG!!

Oh. My. God. I think I have found my perfect HG nude lipstick. Although still a major fan of creme de nude, I went to MAC yesterday and picked up MAC Studio Tech (wore it yesterday and like it so far) and also a MAC Sheen Supreme lipstick in 'Supremely Confident'. Love it!!!!. Why have I never tried a sheen supreme before? They are like a lipstick - but glossy!! Amazing. Literally. I heard they are bringing out more sheen supreme colours soon mayb endish of year so there will be more colours available to get :)
